What???
A third fish for LF? If she had ever any doubts that this nest could not be the right for her, so she should throw her boubts overboard now :D

Fish could habe been a Bream (very V-shaped caudal fin, fish with high back resp. belly)

Pictures in motion are already a bit blurry ... less light


In the video one can see how deep Mati was in the water - see his wet trousers, belly- and chestfeathers

April 15. Good morning! LF in the nest. 5:42. She flew away. Once in the nest landed Mati with a stick and LF immediately returned. 5:43. Both flew from the nest, LF immediately returned. She squawks.

5:53. Mati flew away from the nest. 6:01. Mati is back. Singing swans. 6:04. After a failed mating, Mati flew out of the nest...

Does LF have or did she recently have (I see the indentation of what looks like a string or cord around her neck) something wrapped around her throat? Is that why she has such an unusually hoarse sounding chirp? Or maybe her feathers are just ruffled this morning.

LF is maybe very young but we'll know soon.

The stream keeps cutting me off today, unable to watch :bash:

Mail, you could be right that she is too young.
If she has a mate and is just taking a rest and getting free fish, today she would of continued her journey. Hopefully we can Find out more information from her rings.
Who is walking so close to the nest?

9:16. LF now one in the nest. Silent. I think she's older than Mai. I'm waiting for Mai. 9:17. Mati brought a bundle of hay? He immediately flew away from the nest. Cessie :hi:

I'm waiting for Mai too!
Mati is busy making their nest nice for Mai's return.

About the smoke in the background, that could be burning old ground cover, weeds and dead wood? I don't know, but it is a beautiful day there and the wind is calm!

9:57. Mati attempted to mate, but LF is strictly against it and ran it on Cam. :mrgreen:10:09. Mati has left the nest to make a new attempt to mate...however unsuccessfully. LF a bit annoyed! :rant:

Yes, it's Mati crouching and Lady preening and vocalizing in turns, not at the same time. :mrgreen:

15:48 Both on the nest, LF is chirping, her crop is empty :laugh:

16:28 After working in the nest Mati flew off, LF is standing and chirping
16:30 Mati is back with a stick, his work in the nest bowl continues
16:32 Mati off, 16:33 back with another big stick, building continues...etc. off and back, off and back with nest material, LF is chirping all the time
16:46 Mati off, may be fishing...

Mati made some attempts to get some of the fish back or wanted LF to share the fish with him ... but no chance, she defended it very resolute, noch chance for Mati ....

18:13 Mating attempt, NO from LF, Mati off
18:18 Mati is back with a bunch of turf and takes off again

18:20 LF flew away with her halfeaten fish

18:40 LF is back, chirping

18:42 She gets the second nice fish from Mati! :slap:
