I am happy to see LSE Iigar back on the birdmap, I had already worried that he might have 'vanished' .... We saw him on birdmap the last time in the area around Beirut, a dangerous area ... so I asked Urmas about the situation and got this reply:
LSE Iigar appeared in network in Uganda 23 March, but sent only data from wintering site up to 28 Feb. No more locations, yet. For Africa it is nowadays reality - no roaming in many countries.
Short after this reply Iigar was back on the birdmap, with missing data, but main thing is that there were some data hick ups at all
Here he is shown in Malawi, data point from 28. February
I am so very curious which route he will take home, after he surprised us flying the eastern route around the Black Sea at autumn migration.
He can be elsewhere meanwhile, last sign from being in Uganda was 23. March, that´s already a week ago. Hopefully he will send new data soon.
