oh no problem Sova! it is easy to mix these woodpecker voices with eagle's calls. jays are even worse. i think they can imitate eagles in a very credible way.
besides it's better to get 10 false alarms than miss one real event. so go on watching and reporting, please! :2thumbsup:

one needs to look up the YT channel of the Eagle Club Estonia and open the new stream there.
this is the address where to look:
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCCvBXT ... Saqd19N0Sg
We try to keep the link address by showing static image when the actual stream from the camera stops. Sometimes it works, sometimes not...
Opening stream through Eagle Club channel has some advantagest, e.g. you'll see when other nest cameras wake from hibernation 8-)

12.53:40 - distant eagle call (i think  )

at 13.29:20 there was a very distinct bird call - not an eagle. there've been lots of different bird sounds - cranes and others - but for the most part, I can't identify them (except I often hear the pecking of the woodpecker)

i'm afraid that i agree with Marfo and others: at 12:53 it was a black woodpecker, together with a great tit and a hooded crow.
13:29 there were first calls of a crested tit. then the other bird which laranjeiras mentioned was probably a greater spotted woodpecker, although i'm not absolutely certain of it.
i made a video with both events.

Thanks to all for your feedback. this kind of call is the most difficult to me to differentiate if it is BW or the wtE (and will probably remain so)

hmm, no observations today? well, there is still time.

like i earlier wrote, it doesn't matter if we have ten (or more!) false alarms. it would be worse if we'd miss one genuine eagle's voice. so keep writing your observations here! :2thumbsup:

15.57:30-ish - there was a call (a YT chatter also noted it) - unsure which it is though - eagle or black woodpecker

16.36:03 - more calls - sounds like an eagle - a bit closer
16.37:40 - again a call and at 16.38:19 and 16.39:43
again 16.41:00
and 16.47:19
16.49 again

Well spotted laranjeiras :2thumbsup:
To me, at 15:57 sounded more like eagle than woodpecker indeed :puzzled:

18.27:58 cranes (i think) flew by - not visible but very close

thank you for your observations! :2thumbsup:
i made a video with the voices which you heard. i'm afraid that also the first calls at 15:57 was 'only' a black woodpecker, like the rest of the calls. later the Black woodpecker called also in his other voice, not only the fake-eagle voice. there was also some powerful drumming which was probably by the same bird. there were also other, little birds talking.
16:29 swans were calling far before the black woodpecker called.
18:26 i think the birds were whooper swans again. first it can be heard how they sing, then they beat the water with their wings when they took off flying. a few seconds after that i think i could see a car driving from left to right in the top right corner (where the lights are). there's a road.
the swans flew right over the camera. it's a shame that we could not see them.

good night!
